I was approached to develop a brand identity for a potential medical marijuana grower in Oklahoma—Terra Core—rooted in the idea of the earth and natural origins. The goal was to create a visual identity that honored this meaning while resonating with the local Oklahoma market. They wanted a modern take on “hippy” aesthetics and focused on organic elements and natural textures. In addition to the core brand identity, the project extended into apparel design as a key promotional tool. With a highly competitive market in mind, each piece was thoughtfully crafted to stand out while remaining authentic to the brand’s tone.

I began by researching the Oklahoma landscape and other marijuana facilities to understand the local market. From there, I developed several logo concepts that balanced simplicity while still incorporating some personality to feel less corporate. The color palette drew inspiration from Oklahoma’s iconic red dirt and natural landscape. When they were pleased with the brand direction I started on the apparel design, which could stretch away from the simplicity of the logo. With that in mind I drew inspiration from Art Nouveau, embracing it’s organic forms and its “Mother Earth” aesthetic.
