Minted is an online marketplace of independent artists and designers. They produce work such as stationery, invitations and wall décor to sell across the world. Every so often they put out prompts for artists to submit designs to fill spots on their website. This prompt was for a moving announcement customers could purchase to inform family and friends of their new home.

When coming up with ideas, I researched online to see what other competition there was and trending styles for the time. I was inspired by the nostalgic, adventurous spirit of a vintage VW Beetle road trip, paired with a hand-drawn illustration style to create a warm and personal feel. Customization is is a key component in these announcements so I selected a legible font that could be versatile depending on customer’s name lengths while maintaining the integrity of the design. This option was selected to move forward and be distributed on their website. I collaborated with their design team to deliver a cohesive set of assets, including coordinating thank-you cards and multiple color variations to support customer choice.
