A small startup specializing in handcrafted, high-quality furniture, commissioned me to develop their logo. Their aesthetic, best described as rural chic, called for a design that reflected both craftsmanship and sophistication. The goal was to create a visual identity that captured the brand’s artisanal roots while appealing to a modern audience.
I began by researching woodworking businesses, the clients’ projects, traditional tools and rustic design styles. I explored a variety of concepts through sketches, experimenting with both logotype-focused designs and logos incorporating symbolic elements like tools and materials. The final approved logo combines both approaches, integrating a saw blade and trees to clearly communicate the brand’s focus on handcrafted woodworking while maintaining a clean visual identity.
