Mardel expanded into branded plate ensembles to meet the needs of customers looking to incorporate faith-based messaging into their celebrations and special occasions. The collections were thoughtfully curated to include large and small plated that paired with coordinating napkins.

Once we received the request from the clients, we collaborated with the Hobby Lobby team that works on multiple plate ensembles each year to know how to set up files. We then set up art direction to give to the designers, who then provided at least 2 options per SKU that went through multiple rounds of proofing. The goal was to create a diverse assortment of collections, ensuring each felt distinct while catering to a range of occasions—from bridal and baby showers to birthdays, Bible studies, and baptisms. This thoughtful approach allowed for both traditional and trend-forward solutions, resulting in a well-balanced offering for customers. The client responded well to the thought put into each set, even selecting a “wild card” concept that embraced a trendy aesthetic with a bold, youthful color palette.
